This Shochu is made with 100% freshly harvested Imo (sweet potato) from the island of Kyushu. It has good acidity and shows sweetness on the nose like caramel popcorn or butter scotch with floral character and a touch of spice. It gives you a warm rounded mouth feel. Full bodied with mushroom and cheese/savoury flavours. It is earthy but very approachable.
Shochu straight or over ice, or with cold spring water. Can be gently warmed. Add good quality green tea, or fruit juice. Great for Shochu cocktail.
